About

I’m a forty-seven-year-old mom to an amazing transgender fourteen-year-old. We’ve unschooled since day one. I began working from home in 2020, after nannying for years so that I could make a living as well as spend my days with my child. My favorite things to do are cook, garden, be outdoors, create, read, and write.

I’ve taken a rather long hiatus from writing here, while recovering from brain cancer. I had a 5cm tumor removed and then 6 weeks of radiation. I’m still alive and well and in remission so I may be back to this space soon. These days I feel that I have so much more to say.

      Thanks!
Well, my Etsy shop sort of fell by the wayside, unfortunately.

L0L! So did mine. I wanted to make it a full-time job, but it’s so hard to do while I have another full-time job…catch 22

Hi Melissa! I’ve just nominate you for the Blogger Recognition Award! Granted, it is not as shiny as the recent Feedspot award, but it’s all I got 🙂
